Cris Kemp, Health, Safety & Environmental Coordinator

Cris has been actively involved in loss control disciplines for most of his working career and has extensive risk management/loss control experience in safety, health, environmental protection, security and fire protection disciplines for regional, national and international organizations in both the private and government sectors. He holds the risk management designation, CRM (Canadian Risk Management) and is a Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP).

Cris draws on experience from a diversified background in:

  • Manufacturing sector (aerospace, automotive and foundry);
  • Natural resources sector (oil & gas exploration, coal & uranium mining & forestry);
  • Veterinary medicine, and
  • As a police officer in the Canadian Armed Forces.

Cris is currently a panel member on the Discipline Committee of the Board of Canadian Registered Safety Professionals.

Cris has served as the Chapter Chair of the Manitoba Chapter of the Canadian Society of Safety Engineering (CSSE) and served on the CSSE Board of Directors as Regional Vice President for Manitoba & Saskatchewan. He also served on the Board of Directors of the Manitoba Safety Council and its Executive Committee.
