|Keith (Cooter) Cates joined Energy Fundamentals Group (“EFG”)May of 2011 as “Welder/Team Lead” bringing with him 25 years of industrial welding. In this position Mr. Cates’s performs layout, cutting and welding work in connection with the construction, repair and maintenance’s of the Company pipelines and related facilities in Canada with a high regard for safety. In addition, Mr. Cates plans and directs projects and pipeline related work and is responsible for updating and qualifying each of EFG’s welding procedures.
Prior to joining EFG, Mr. Cates has welded on both Ocean and Lake bound ships, he has constructed and repaired bridges across North America, and has fabricated and repaired forestry equipment. He has been involved in both pulp and Paper Mill and OSB mill maintenance and the design and fabrication of heavy duty equipment. In his last position Mr. Cates was a certified CWB welding supervisor and responsible for developing and qualifying welding procedures and overseeing the annual qualifying of all company welders.
Born and raised in the Emo area, Mr. Cates enjoys hunting, fishing, weekends at the lake and coaching hockey. Mr. Cates resides in Emo with his wife Trisha, daughter Avery and son Brady.
