J.P. Todd Karry

Mr. Karry is a seasoned energy executive with a professional record of accomplishments in both the regulated and unregulated sectors of the energy industry. He is the controlling shareholder of Energy Fundamentals Group LLC, a Michigan based company he founded in 2002 and is responsible for leading EFG’s overall investment and advisory businesses.

Mr. Karry acts as the General Partner for Energy Fundamentals Group L.P. The partnership is the company’s primary investment vehicle which owns and operates EFG Gas Transmission Co. (formerly Centra Gas Transmission) which was acquired by EFG from Duke Energy Gas Transmission in 2003.

In 2005, EFG Inc. closed a development arrangement with Veresen Inc. (formerly Fort Chicago Energy L.P.) to finance the development of the Jordon Cove Energy Project, a liquefied natural gas project to be located on the Pacific coast of the U.S. in southern Oregon. EFG Inc. earned a right to become a partner with Veresen and owns an option to invest up to 20% of the equity in the partnership, Jordan Cove Energy Project L.P. In 2005 Mr. Karry was appointed to the Board of Directors of Jordon Cove Energy Project LLC, the General Partner.

Prior to founding EFG, Mr. Karry held the position of Managing Director of Energy Origination with El Paso Merchant Energy L.P., a Houston Texas based energy merchant company. Over the past 25 years, Mr. Karry has held various senior positions with a number of top tier energy companies including Engage Energy L.P., The Coastal Corporation, Westcoast Energy Inc., Union Gas Limited and Empire State Pipeline Company, and has served as an advisor to a number of other US and Canadian energy companies.

Mr. Karry is a graduate of the University of Windsor and holds a Masters of Business Administration and an undergraduate Honors Business Administration degree in Accounting & Finance.
